■ So much for the public good. New Zealand post shuts up shop no reason given, just the language of exclusion. Shame on them. Kevin Reilly

■ Who said (first) they were going to have ‘‘the most transparen­t government ever’’. No it wasn’t Jacinda Ardern but Barack Obama. This and other interestin­g informatio­n was covered onma¯ori Tvsmonday night documentar­y ‘‘All government­s lie’’. Watch on demand and learn.

■ PM says we should not import goods made by forced labour. What about their children who do 12-hour days for no pay for $2 shops. No-one cares about these kids. PM just wants to trade money at all cost.

■ Decision on the lagoon geese was made by staff, not councillor­s. Seems to be a lot of confusion about the roles of councillor­s and council staff.

■ Aftermany years of watching TVNZ news at 6pm, have changed to TV3. Reason? Nowhere near as much Ma¯ori being spoken to an audience of perhaps 5 per cent or so who understand­s it. What a pleasant relief it is and I speak for the silent majority who have had a gutsful of te reo being pushed in our faces. R

■ Why isn’t the Government supporting consumers and farmers by insisting on country of origin labelling on all pork and pork products? Time to stand up to substandar­d competitio­n. G

■ Sorry Whakatane but having more cancerous sunshine does nothing for me. I havemelano­ma and, by the way, why in the name of saints are we still seeing sunscreens being sold that are not up to scratch? Should be taken off the shelves.

■ Wow, a Kiwi in Holland referred to NZ as Aotearoa. Howmodern and culturally minded he-her is. That brings a smile to one’s kisser.
