■ On Saturday night, NZ time, Prince Philip, our Queen’s husband, passed away. Not even a headline in Monday’s paper! The first article is on page 3 and it doesn’t even say he died! I’mnot a royalist but I am surprised. GMWE expected readers would have been exposed to extensive news of Prince Philip’s death over the previous 48 hours. There was also a full page of world news on Monday dedicated to him – Editor

■ Hobson’s Pledge has been vilified for some time by emotional and extremist views. I challenge this paper to do an unbiased series of articles on the ‘H. P.’ and tell us what facts that are stated are untrue. I’msure many readers would like to find out. WD

■ Get rid of agricultur­e scream out the young protesters for climate change. We say get rid of your cell phones and social media because it is polluting the atmosphere.

■ Why do those who plead poverty flash tattoos which are expensive, dyed hair, etc. Get your priorities right.

■ What wasmissing from Joel Maxwell’s article on Ma¯ori being more likely to be victims of crime? The fact that 52.2 percent of the prison population is Ma¯ori and statistica­lly if you are the victim of a crime the perpetrato­rmost likely will be Ma¯ori.

■ Please do not call Palmerston North Palmy. Sounds cheap and lazy. B
