House demolished after it couldn’t be given away

North house thatwas offered up for free to anyone who could relocate it was demolished lastweekend.

The owners listed the College St home with Raywhite last year and while the offer sparked a lot of interest, the $250,000-$300,000 price tag for relocation proved to be a sticking point. The owners decided to knock it down and timber recyclers Rusty Nail got to pick through it for reusable material. The owners planned to use the land for a few town houses for family and friends to live in.
