Troubles soldiers granted anonymity for trial

Two retired soldiers accused of shooting dead an unarmed IRA commander in the bloodiest year of the Troubleswi­ll have anonymity for their trial. The former members of the Parachute Regiment, known only as Soldier A and C, are being prosecuted over the killing of Joe Mccann, leader of the Official IRA, in 1972. Hewas unarmed when hewas shot in the Markets area of Belfast, two and a half months after the Bloody Sunday shootings.
