■ NZ took to the streets to protest apartheid rugby. Will they do the same to protest the sale of rugby to Silver Lake? There is more at stake than just a game. Sure the sport needs a cash injection, but not at the expense of selling our mana to greedy capitalists.
■ Interesting comments by chief executive that it would not be appropriate for regular reporting to councillors on management of Caccia Birch. Is this the normal approach by council employees. I thought that we elected councillors to look after the interests of ratepayers. TN

■ Dear God...is it true? That any alterations made to All Saints’ have to be reversible so if a future generation wants to restore the building to its original design, they can do so with ease. What planet are the commissioners on? John
