Roche to leavewaka Kotahi-nzta
Sir Brian Roche will finish his role as chairman ofwaka Kotahi-nzta,
Stuff understands, leaving at the end of his current term in June next year. He will have spent three years in the job. Rochewaswaka
Kotahi’s first chairman, following its establishment in
2008, andwas reappointed to the board in 2019 by then transportminister Phil Twyford following a tumultuous period of change. The Government has seen three chairs of Waka Kotahi-nzta – Chris Moller, Michael Stiassny and Roche – since it took office in 2017. Dame Franwilde and Nick Rogers also served as interim leaders. It contrasts with the previous Government, which sawmoller take over from Roche in 2011 and serve out the rest of the term.
