Study: Cannabis cultivated in China 12,000 years ago

The wild ancestors of cannabis probably came from China, where the crop was cultivated about 12,000 years ago, according to new research that analysed the genomes of 110 plants from across the world. The Swiss study, published in Science Advances, a peerreview­ed journal, offered insights into the evolution of one of the first domesticat­ed plants.
