Prop faces sanctions

Warriors prop Kane Evans will face sanctions from the NRL, including potentially bringing the game into disrepute, after a crude message was spotted on his wrist strapping. Evans is in hot water following his side’s 30-16 loss to Penrith on Sunday, where he was the 18th man and did not play. While sitting on the bench at Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium, the broadcast cameras picked up the message written on his wrist strapping which said, ‘fold some c…’. Speaking at his weekly Monday football review, NRL head of football elite competitions Graham Annesley said Evans would face sanctions, including potentially bringing the game into disrepute.
