Lodge back for Warriors

-

Matt Lodge is back in the Warriors’ side for Friday night’s game against the Raiders as the team clings on to its finals hopes. The Warriors really are drinking at last chance saloon this weekend at BB Print Stadium in Mackay, following the 24-22 loss to the Broncos on Sunday. To make the finals they need to win their remaining games, against the Raiders and Titans and hope other results go their way, including the Broncos defeating the Sharks on Saturday. Lodge served a two-game suspension for a high tackle on the Sharks’ Will Chambers a few weeks ago and to have him back playing alongside Addin Fonua-Blake in the middle will give the Warriors a huge boost. Sean O’Sullivan is also back in the team for Friday’s game, replacing Chanel Harris-Tavita, who appeared to pick up a knock late in Sunday’s loss. Warriors: Reece Walsh, Dallin WateneZelezniak, Peta Hiku, Adam Pompey, Marcelo Montoya, Sean O’Sullivan, Chad Townsend; Addin Fonua-Blake (c), Wayde Egan, Matt Lodge, Josh Curran, Euan Aitken, Bayley Sironen. Interchange (from): Kodi Nikorima, Bunty Afoa, Eliesa Katoa, Jazz Tevaga, Jamayne TaunoaBrown, Rocco Berry, Kane Evans, Jack Murchie.
