Wahlburgers coming

-

The first Wahlburger restaurant will open on Auckland’s waterfront later this year. The Mustaca family, owners of Australia’s largest independent cinema chain, United Cinemas, announced yesterday the first Kiwi restaurant will be opening late this year. New Zealand’s first Wahlburgers family restaurant will have a capacity of 240 guests and will be at the former Euro Restaurant and Coley & Punch venue at Princes Wharf. United Cinemas NZ chief executive Sam Mustaca said he had chosen that location as it was ‘‘iconic’’. He said they were looking to establish five stores across the country. He had visited Queenstown, and said they had ‘‘pretty much done a deal there’’, with the potential for a second location. ‘‘Weplan to expand in other New Zealand locations including the current United Cinema site at Bayfair Shopping Centre at Tauranga.’’
