Canterbury Rams handed the Nuggets their second defeat, holding them off 79-75 after the Nuggets drew level at 62-62 with less than six minutes remaining. Joe Cook-Green scored 30 points for the Rams while Sam Timmins registered his second doubledoub­le (24 points, 14 rebounds) in a row in a losing effort.

Franklin Bulls hung on to beat Hawke’s Bay Hawks 74-70 despite missing four free-throws in a nervous final minute. Anzac Risetto scored 20 points and brought down 11 rebounds. The Hawks won the first quarter 20-17 but fell behind in the second.

The Airs bounced back from their defeat to the Tuatara to beat Manawatū Jets 78-57 after taking a commanding 23-10 lead after the first quarter. Tai Wynard paced the Airs with a game-high 25 points.
