Stuff becomes B Corp

Stuff has become the latest New Zealand company to be a certified B Corporation, or B Corp. B Corps are businesses verified by B Lab to achieve high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. B Labwas founded in 2006 in the United States. Stuff is the first media business in NewZealand to achieve the certification. Other B Corps include Allbirds, Ben & Jerry’s and – closer to home – firms such as Sharesies, Kiwibank and fundmanager Pathfinder. ‘‘The process to become a B Corp has been a year in the making and we are so proud to have met the very high bar that B Lab has set for their certification,’’ Stuff chief executive Sinead Boucher said. ‘‘Being a B Corp aligns with Stuff’s strategy of making Aotearoa a better place. Becoming certified is just the start.’’
