D-day for Silver Lake
The fate of the proposed New Zealand RugbySilver Lake dealwill finally be known on June 2. NZ Rugby said yesterday a special general meeting has been called to allowmembers to vote on the Silver Lake. The SGM will take place at NZ Rugby’s Auckland offices. It’s understood NZ Rugby have offered the provincial unions a ‘‘capped funding agreement’’ which means if they get 17.5% of the commercial income, funding would be capped when they get to turnover of up to $260 million. Provincial unions want the cap removed, and they alsowant a representative on the Commercialco board.
