Japan stun Wallaroos

An off-night with the boot from Lori Cramer and impatient play cost thewallaroos in a realitycheck 12-10 test loss to Japan. Fullback Cramer missed both conversions and a straightforward penalty with twominutes to play that would have won the sloppy Tuesday night contest on the Gold Coast. But they had errors elsewhere to blame for the shock loss – their first to Japan – that came after beating them 46-3 in their last meeting almost three years ago. Australia will play tests against Newzealand, USA and Canada nextmonth, before twomore against the Kiwi World Cup hosts in August.
