Palace manager lashes out

-

Amid a pitch invasion by Everton fans, Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira appeared to kick out at a supporter who looked to be goading him during a confrontation. The fieldwas flooded by Everton supporters after their team recovered from 2-0 down at halftime to win 3-2 yesterday and secure English Premier League survival before the final round. As Vieira tried to leave the field, a supporter seemingly holding up a phone could be seen extending his arms towards the Frenchman’s face. Vieira then turned and tried to grab the phone before kicking him with his right foot. The fan fell to the ground. In other matches, Burnley drew1-1 with Aston Villa to go ahead of Leeds United on goal difference in the battle to avoid relegation, while Chelsea drew1-1 with Leicester.

Everton manager Frank Lampard, left, celebrates his team’s vital win while Patrick Vieira, right, is less impressed.
