Parker fight delayed

Joseph Parker’s proposed fight with British heavyweight Joe Joyce in London has been delayed as contract negotiations continue to drag on. NewZealander Parker and Joyce were targeting a July 2 date at Wembley Arena. The fight is still under discussion, but there is little likelihood of it happening in July.

■ NewZealand cruiserweight David Nyika has had his opponent confirmed for his big night in Melbourne. Nyikawill fight young Australian Karim Maatalla on the undercard of Aussie George Kambosos’ world lightweight unification fight against American Devin Haney in Melbourne on June 5.
