Fox slips to seventh

Kiwi Ryan Fox is tied for seventh going into the final round at the Nedbank Golf Challenge in Sun City, South Africa. Having led after the first round, Fox then had his second round suspended after three holes due to lightning and rain, and went on to complete a two-over 74, then going better in his third with an evenpar 72. He’s in a three-way tie at six-under overall, three shots off the lead, which is jointly held by Belgium’s Thomas Detry and Denmark’s Rasmus Højgaard. On the LPGA Tour, Lydia Ko hit a two-under 68 in the second and penultimat­e round of the shortened Pelican Women’s Championsh­ip in Florida. That slips her from a tie for 23rd to a share of 27th, now a further shot (seven) back from the lead, which is now held by American Allisen Corpuz.
