Help Us Train More Nurses
Massey University Annual Alumni Appeal
New Zealand needs more nurses. There are currently more than 4000 nursing vacancies across Aotearoa New Zealand, and our hospitals and medical centres are under enormous pressure. Help Massey in its mission and invest in our nation’s health.
The last two years have changed the world as we know it. Massey has changed too; emerging leaner, nimbler and reenergised in its commitment to produce research and graduates that will fuel New Zealand’s economy and solve some of the world’s most crucial issues. Support from alumni and friends plays a vital role in helping Massey achieve this mission. Over the past 10 years, alumni and friends have donated a massive $916,000 through the Annual Alumni Appeal to support scholarship and research at Massey. This year we are asking you to help by supporting Massey nursing students.
Massey University’s Bachelor of Nursing degree is renowned for the quality of its graduates.
The Massey University Foundation is a registered charity (cc27593). It was established by the University in 2004 to foster philanthropy and administrative gifts to the University. All gifts to the Foundation over $5.00 are eligible for tax deductibility.
But we need your help to encourage school leavers to join the profession and ensure they are not lured into the lucrative job market or by overseas subsidised training courses. Our initial goal is to create an endowment fund large enough to give scholarships to 10 promising students each year in perpetuity. We are asking alumni and friends to help us by giving to this year’s annual appeal. If you are interested in enrolling in the Bachelor of Nursing visit: massey.ac.nz/nursing
