■ Re labelling boy racers as thugs: Letting them play in industrial areas during working hours is not ‘‘relatively out of the way and safe’’; it’s disruptive and dangerous. I suspect that this provides much of the incentive for the participan­ts.

■ What a pleasure to listen to Chris Luxon with his sound vision and strong policies on ways to take all NZers forward out of the present state-controlled, on-the-hoof policies of this ideologica­lly driven government. Roll on the election.

■ In reply to Saturday’s text that said that the Manawatū Standard had over-reacted to the boy racer issue – I say when you’ve got a combinatio­n of dangerous driving, adults and children being kept awake all hours of the night, damage to property and people being threatened when they ask the drivers to go away then how is the Standard’s article an overreacti­on?

■ Andrew Little was brilliant when he worked for the unions, now he’s dragging his arse. Pay 21st century wages and you will reap the rewards. Too much red tape and bureaucrac­y BS.
