Supply chain issues still delaying deliveries

Some furniture buyers looking to get a deal on Black Friday could be waiting up to five months for purchases to be delivered, thanks to supply chain issues. Freedom Furniture chief executive Blaine Callard said the company was still experiencing supply chain problems. ‘‘Most of our stock is made to order to the colour, fabric or leather and configurations to suit each customer’s home and style. The estimated lead time for each item is based on the information we have at that time regarding our manufacturers’ production schedule, shipping container/vessel availability, and shipping and processing times at New Zealand ports, and the time it takes to freight product around New Zealand.’’
