Vaha’akolo joins Blues

In just a few days’ time Katelyn Vaha’akolo will be gunning for rugby league World Cup glory with the Kiwi Ferns. Not long after she will sashay back across the codes to line up for the Blues in the second season of Super Rugby Aupiki. The Blues announced the signing of the Kiwi Ferns and Auckland Storm Farah Palmer Cup wing yesterday, just hours after she and the Ferns clinched progress to next Sunday’s World Cup final with a 20-6 victory over England in York, England. The 22-year-old Aucklander, who also played for the Newcastle Knights in the NRLW competition, has been flitting between the codes for the early years of her sporting career.
