Paper staff admit collusion

-

Six former employees of the pro-democracy Apple Daily newspaper have pleaded guilty to colluding with foreign forces amid mass protests in Hong Kong in 2019. The conviction of the five men and one woman came days before the trial of the newspaper’s founder, Jimmy Lai, who has pleaded not guilty to the charges. Three of those who pleaded guilty are expected to help in the prosecution’s case against Lai, whose trial is to start next week.
