Palace reopens street for viewing autumn foliage

-

A road inside the Imperial Palace grounds in Tokyo opened yesterday to the public for viewing autumn foliage for the first time in three years. The 750-metre-long Inui St, usually accessible in spring and autumn, had been kept closed due to the Covid pandemic. The road was last opened in the autumn of 2019. About 50 people lined up yesterday at the Imperial Palace Plaza before the gate opened at 9am.
