■ The coward who stabbed the young man in Sandringha­m should get life with no parole but all we’ll hear is how hard he’s had it, blah blah, he made his bed.

■ Society’s issues need to be considered in a context of macro, meso and micro levels. Solutions need to reflect all three levels.

■ Shopped at Farmers store. Three different department­s. All staff very friendly and very good at their jobs. Congrats ladies on making Xmas shopping a pleasant day out.

■ Agree with comment re 16-yr-olds and voting, get a free iphone if you vote for me, comment would get the vote alright, not what policies person stands for, etc etc. WW

■ How many hours a day does PM Ardern spend in front of the mirror practising these fake ‘‘concerned’’ looks she uses.

■ Fix ramraiders: 6 months in boot camp, rest of their education in boarding school in opposite island. Then apprentice­ship. Paying their legal fees and prison costs would be better utilised with discipline. No use sending them home – to what?

■ How much of scarce ratepayers’ money was used to put new signage on rubbish trucks and other vehicles? Surely money could be better spent.
