Globe March madness packed with music, comedy, cinema
March is the final month to take advantage of discounts offered through Globe Theatre’s Summer Festival pass.
March 1: Altitude Pole’s latest showcase: Heroes and Villains.
March 2: Vaginas Unleashed normalises and celebrates sexuality with warmth, humour and rawness. R18.
March 2: Tragic Mike comedy cabaret’s Netflix & Chill is a wild night out for the girls. Take your laughter to new heights and unleash a tidal wave of hilarity. R18.
March 8: Flamencodanza, an inspired, powerful, elegant award-winning show of Flamenco dance and guitar. Elements of Flamenco, Brazilian music and jazz.
March 8 - 17: The annual Francophonie Film Festival from Alliance Francaise.
March 9: Wild Horses – Rolling Stones Tribute Band with some of NZ’s leading pro musicians, artists and session players.
March 14 - 16: New Stage Productions’ national tour of Joseph & The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, with touring performers and a choir of local children.
March 19: The Big Bike Film Night of short films on everything bicycle.
March 21: Kevin Downing’s Guitar School presents PLANETS with award-winning, Grammy & Emmy nominated guitarist, composer, David Becker. Mesmerising collaboration with Space Channel; a celestial musical odyssey.
March 22: Alliance Francaise monthly French Film Night.
March 22 - 23: Dynasty pole competitions showcase amateurs and semi-pros.
