Scaffold back in groove

-

TOUCH Touch returned to Lansdowne Park last Wednesday with the mixed one grade match-up between Scaffold Marlborough and QCC providing the highlight, Scaffold prevailing 10-4.

The game began at a fast pace. QCC got a penalty on the five metre line and Hayden Gaudin didn’t waste time, tapping the ball and running through Jordan Newman who was off side, to score the first try off the night.

But Scaffold Marlborough kept their heads up and scored from the tap off, Ben Stark scoped through the QCC defence offloading to Tyrone Elkington who scored the try. They didn’t stop there, Jordan Nicoll stepping Ben Reihana and scoring, then Emma Moore scoring a try on the wing off a long pass from Nicoll.

For QCC, Hana Wilson showed excellent mirror defence and Joseph Timms showed quick skills from a penalty to score.

Thursday’s touch was cancelled due to the weather.
