Body found in lake

A body has been pulled from a lake near Rotorua. Edward MacDougall, 77, of Pukehina, Bay of Plenty, went missing on a fishing trip on Lake Rotoehu on Saturday. The police national dive squad found his body in the lake on Christmas Eve. Senior Sergeant Malcolm Collins said that it appeared MacDougall had been wearing a lifejacket, but it was found separate from the body. It appeared it had not been done up properly and had fallen off, he said.
