The Warriors have drawn up a shortlist of candidates to be the club’s next coach, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The Sydney paper has reported that Wayne Bennett, Shaun Wane, Jason Ryles, Todd Payten and Nathan Brown are on the list of coaches who will be interviewe­d online by the Warriors’ selection panel.

The Warriors play the Titans in an NRL match on the Gold Coast tonight.

On that panel are Warriors owner Mark Robinson, chairman Rob Croot, CEO Cameron George and club legend Simon Mannering.

Of those five coaches, it’s no surprise Brown is mentioned as he’s already done work for the club this season and as interim coach Payten was a natural contender.

But Bennett recently stated he has no interest in joining the Warriors. As well as being committed to his final year at the Rabbitohs in 2021, he also has family commitment­s that keep him in Australia.

‘‘I’m not going to New Zealand,’’ Bennett told The Courier-mail last month.

‘‘Someone may well have contacted the Warriors about me, who knows, but I can tell you right now that I have not spoken to anyone from New Zealand and I have no plans to,’’ Bennett said. ‘‘Even if the Warriors approached me, it would be a straight no anyway. ‘‘I have family commitment­s in Australia with my son Justin – how can I go overseas when I have to help look after him? I don’t see Justin enough as it is.’’
