An elderly man was processed for excess breath alcohol after crashing his car into a fence.

He will be appearing in the Morrinsvil­le District Court.

Saturday, March 23

In the early hours police attended a disorder incident outside McDonalds.

The two parties involved were separated and given warnings. Once again, alcohol was a factor and police are reminding people to watch their alcohol consumptio­n.

In the early hours a car was taken from Elizabeth St. It was later found nearby and police are following lines of inquiry.

Sunday, March 24

A Waharoa man was processed for excess breath alcohol after police responded to a road-rage incident that led to a car accident.

Monday, March 25

Some time during the weekend a rural property in Matamata was broken into.

Meat, alcohol and a phone was taken. Police are following lines of inquiry.

Police attended a single-car accident on Okauia Springs Rd. As a result a Waharoa woman has been forbidden to drive.

Called to Grant Place after the smell of smoke was reported in the area. No fire was found.

Sunday, March 24

Called to an incident on Dame Cath Place. No action needed.

Called to an accident where a car hit a pole on Hopkins Rd. No injuries.

Wednesday, March 27

Responded to a medical call on Manuka St.

Called to a rubbish fire at the public toilet in Matamata.
