Passion before business

-

Local photographer Rachel Pridham has a passion for capturing memories.

The talented photographer operates under the banner of Rachel Pridham Photography and is keen to share her passion by running workshops.

The workshops are by interest only, Pridham says she doesn’t have anything concrete planned yet, and at this stage is keen to gage the community’s interest.

She ran a workshop for young children before and she is keen to do it again but with children aged eight to 14 years. Adults can alsoinquire.

The workshops would cover the basics of photography including light, sharpness and subject and people would be given a small collection of their prints to take away.

Pridham’s interest in photography started eight years ago. However she admits it was never intended to be a business, she just has a passion for capturing memories.

‘‘I just love it, that’s why I do it, not because I want to run a business. .

‘‘My parents were really good about taking photos of us growing up and I want the same for my kids. Other families deserve that.’’

Her specialities are with weddings, commercial and family portraits and she says with Christmas coming, now is definitely a good time to start thinking about booking a shoot to create gifts for family members.

Pridham has her studio under construction right now whichshould be up and running early next year.
