Pamper your lips and fend off the winter blues with a serious shade of fierce colour.

Winter is coming, but warm and fiery shades of bold red lip colour are set to heat up the season. If you tend to gravitate towards subtle neutral hues, the arrival of the cooler weather is the perfect time to step outside of your comfort zone and embrace vibrant colours. Take a tip from make-up artist Tom Pecheux and what he did backstage at Oscar de la Renta’s Autumn/ Winter 2019 show. Opt for a classic hue of red, which will flatter all skin tones. And forget about applying it ever- so precisely – instead, follow Pecheux’s lead and apply lip colour to the centre of your lips and then blend it outwards, using your fingers for a more undone, natural approach to the fierce and fiery colour. Then all you need to do to complete the look is pare back your eye make-up, play up your luminous skin and embrace your hair’s natural movement and body.
