When we think about skin that’s showing signs of a life well lived, it’s usually wrinkles and fine lines that get all the attention. But as we age the skin’s metabolism slows down – which can lead to a loss of radiance, volume and elasticity. To combat this, Clinique has developed a new, multi-pronged approach to combat the various signs of ageing. Rather than just tackle lines and wrinkles, Clinique Smart Clinical Multi-Dimensional Age Transformer Duo: Resculpt and Revolumize ($130) has been created to address wrinkles and fine lines, loss of luminosity and volume, and uneven skin tone.

In order to restore youthfulness to skin, the skincare scientists at Clinique have created two formulas that work in unison to revitalise skin. The first has been created to resculpt the neck, jowls and jawline; and the second re-plumps areas suffering from volume loss. As we age, our natural collagen supplies begin to dwindle – as a result, once-resilient skin can lose its elasticity and begin to sag. The Resculpt formulation features a blend of potent polymers, including sweet almond seed extract, that help to tighten skin, while soybean seed extract fights gravity and helps to lift jawlines and reshape the facial contours. The Revolumizing formula works to even texture and build volume by providing hydration with innovative hyaluronic acid molecules that can penetrate deep into the skin to moisturise the various layers of the skin. As well as replumping and resculpting skin, the two formulations together minimise the appearance of lines and wrinkles and help boost the skin’s luminosity.

Clinique Smart Clinical MultiDimensional Age Transformer Duo: Resculpt and Revolumize is available now at Clinique counters and online at clinique.co.nz for $130.
