LETTER OF THE MONTH
Thanks for your article on chronic pain (‘Living With Chronic Pain’, March issue). What you often see on social media is only the ‘good’, ‘fun’ and ‘happy” stuff because it’s embarrassing to talk about the dark days and pain. When a person deals with chronic pain, there can be days when it is just too much. Know that for someone with chronic pain, respecting boundaries, kindness and care can help. I have a sign on my fridge that says “It’s fine that if all you do today is breathe”, so I remember to be kind to myself as well.
