2-5 April Feast Waikato

Check out the foodie events on offer, from special dinners and lunches, a progressive dinner, pop-ups, Waikato producers’ open homes and a market. A celebration of the bounty of the region. Two hubs – Victoria on the River, Hamilton Gardens.

4 April Taste of Matarangi

After you’ve enjoyed a dip in the crystal-clear waters of Matarangi Beach, check out this festival celebrating all the great produce the Coromandel has on offer. Visit the food stalls, sample a tipple from some of the region’s wineries and breweries and chill out to the music. Village Green, 10am-4pm.

5-7 April The Food Show – Christchurch

Check out the latest kitchen equipment and sample food products, gourmet delights and fine wines, then stock up on goodies. Watch the line-up of celebrity chefs cook up a storm and get inspired to try new recipes. Horncastle Arena, 10am-5pm.

10 April Canopy Night Market – Whangarei

Bring your blanket and the family for a night sampling delicious street food from around the world. Live performers add to the action. Whangarei Town Basin, 5-8.30pm.

13 April Jazz Long Lunch – Waiheke Island

Hop on the ferry and then relax over a long lunch while you’re entertained by Love Square, the Eastern and the Nairobi Trio. Batch Winery, 1-4pm.

17-26 April Night Noodle Markets – Wellington

Slurp up some noodles, dive into some dumplings and join the crowds for an evening of great street food and fun.

19 April Pie, Pint & Pinot – Arrowtown

Indulge in a pie and a pint in the picture-perfect setting of this little village. Sample locally made gourmet pies matched with craft beers and wines from Akarua winery. Library Green, 12.30-5pm.
