GET YOUR VITAMINS
According to beauty trend forecasters, we’ll all be on a quest for radiant, healthy-looking skin that glows while on our Zoom calls. Luminous skin starts with the right skincare routine, and vitamin C boosts collagen production, neutralises free radical damage and reduces the appearance of pigmentation. Three to try: Murad’s new Vita-C Glycolic Brightening Serum combines two of our favourite glow-enhancing ingredients – glycolic acid gently exfoliates skin to help boost delivery of the formula’s unique Vita-C complex. La Roche-Posay fans can finally get their hands on the much-talked-about Redermic Pure Vitamin C10 Serum. Formulated with 10 per cent pure vitamin C, the potent formula works to reduce the visible signs of ageing while boosting skin luminosity. Specifically formulated to fight dullness and discolouration, Korres Spotless Serum (from Mecca) is packed with vitamin C, wild rose oil and antioxidants that protect skin.
OF THE ESSENCE
If you want to make the most of your skincare routine, a hard-working essence could be what you need. Not to be confused with a toner, an essence tends to feature a host of active ingredients that help prep skin for the following steps in your routine. Here are three of our current favourites: Lancôme Clarifique Dual Essence is powered by game-changing enzymes that work to restore skins’ brightness and clarity; Shiseido Smart Beauty Water’s multitasking formula cleanses, hydrates and primes skin all at once; YSL Pure Shots Hydra-Bounce Essence-In-Lotion boosts hydrating with a blend of vitamins E and B3.
MAGIC MANUKA ¯
For many years, Mānuka has been touted for its restorative skin benefits and now Kiwi brand Melora has harnessed the power of Mānuka honey and oil in a range of personal care products. Melora Double Action Mānuka Honey & Oil brings Mānuka’s powerful antibacterial properties to shampoo, conditioner, moisturisers, handwashes and acne-fighting skincare. At the heart of Melora is sustainability, as all honey used in the range can be traced back to the hive from which it was sourced.
EYE SPY
Stress can manifest itself on our skin and the delicate skin around the eyes can be the first area to suffer. Sisley’s Black Rose collection’s new edition is formulated to restore youthfulness to the eye area. Black Rose Eye Contour Fluid reinvigorates and restores radiance. Is all that screen time showing around your eyes? Dr LeWinn’s Line Smoothing Complex S8 Undereye Recovery works quickly to revitalise tired eyes with its nourishing serumbased formulation. Don’t put up with under-eye puffiness. OCosmedics Native Collagen No Baggage Eye Masks make under-eye bags history.
THE AT-HOME SPA ESSENTIALS
A trip to the spa often means indulging in some much-needed me time. Taking some time to transform your bathroom or beauty routine into your very own at-home spa plus spa treatments means you can reap all the benefits of relaxation. Use a mesmerising scent that transports you somewhere calming – try Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540 Candle or Jo Malone London Lavender & Musk Diffuser. Take your at-home facials to the next level by including the Omorovicza Rose Quartz Facial Roller which works to smooth and de-puff skin. Don’t forget to pamper your body too – Natio Spirit Desert Lime & Salt Coffee Scrub will help keep skin hydrated.
NATURAL RADIANCE
If you’re looking for natural-based skincare that harnesses the best ingredients from Mother Earth without sacrificing serious results, look no further than Snowberry. The latest addition to the Snowberry collection is no exception with multi-tasking Youth Renewing Serum working to restore radiance and youthfulness to skin. The clever formulation is powered by Snowberry’s effective conditioning eProlexTM triple peptide complex – a combo of three peptides independently tested in clinical trial to ensure efficacy. The three peptides work to target the signs of ageing by reaching deep into the skin, hydrating and plumping skin and reducing lines and wrinkles. The super serum is also powered with a nourishing cocktail of native New Zealand extracts including Totarol and pure Harakeke seed oil, that are both grown at the Snowberry Gardens, and skin health-enhancing ingredients hyaluronic acid and vitamins B, C and E. With daily use, skin is well hydrated, luminous and more youthful in appearance.
BYE BYE BLEMISHES
If you’re tired of battling pesky blemishes while trying to fight the signs of ageing, Dermalogica’s newest launch is the answer you’ve been searching for. “New Retinol Clearing Oil combines two powerhouses into one formula, with Salicylic Acid to rapidly clear and prevent breakouts, and Retinol to help reduce the signs of premature ageing ,” explains Emma Hobson, director of education for Asia Pacific.
HAIR, HAIR!
If it’s salon-quality results you’re after from your haircare, salon brands have traditionally delivered the best results. But the cost can quickly start to add up. Haircare newcomer MONDAY hopes to change this by bringing salon-quality shampoos and conditioners to a supermarket near you. The blush pink, Instagram-worthy bottles are made from recycled plastic, plus the formulations have been created without SLS, SLES and parabens.
HIGH SHINE
If your skin needs a luminous boost and you’re short on time, add these three make-up must-haves into the mix. Multi-tasking Gucci Éclat De Beauté
Effet Lumière can be used any way you like to add a hint of radiance to your complexion. Add a touch of the lightweight gloss to eyes, lips to create a luminous effect. The cult-favourite Hourglass Ambient Metallic Strobe
Lighting Palette (from Mecca) returns this season as a limited-edition palette. Wear the three blendable shades together or alone to create a complexion that glows. New Revlon ColorStay Velour Stick Eye Shadow gives eyelids a delicate hint of metallic shine while staying put right around the clock.
FRESH AS A ROSE
Aesop has once again turned to Barnabé Fillion – the nose behind Marrakech Intense and Hwyl – to create its fourth fragrance, Rōzu Eau de Parfum. Inspired by the life and work of French modernist designer Charlotte Perriand, Rōzu explores the facets of rose in unexpected ways. “Rōzu Eau de Parfum is a unique interpretation and reflection of Rose, articulating its life cycle from greenhouse soil to sumptuous blooms to delicate fading petals,” explains Fillion. While rose is at the scent’s heart, delicate yet radiant notes of petitgrain, bergamot and shiso give the fragrance an uplifting edge – and powdery, unforgettable notes of sandalwood, vetiver extract and musk.
