PROS & CONS OF THE PILL

A study from Uppsala University and published in the journal Cancer Research shows that oral contraceptive use protects against ovarian and endometrial cancer, but carries a small increased risk of breast cancer. The study involving more than 250,000 women shows the protective effect remains for several decades after discontinuing use, whereas the increased risk disappeared within a few years after discontinuation.
