BALES THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Yealands vineyards and winery are located on the eastern coastline of the Awatere Valley, Marlborough. In addition to producing some excellent wines, they also have carbon neutral status for their land and winery management. Instead of mulching their vine prunings, they are collected and baled, with 2,500 rolled every season. Weighing 100kg each, they fuel two furnace units for heating and cooling in the winery.
