The Sydney Morning Herald wrote that “for the play to really work Pearl had to be played by someone who could make her both feisty and warm, and Hsiao-Ling Tang pulls this off superbly. She is one of those actors whose presence commands a stage”. It also wrote that Michelle Law “has extended the vocabulary of Australian drama”.
