If you’re fussy about coffee, you’ll agree that finding a decent roaster for the beans you use at home is of equal importance to finding a barista who knows what they’re doing. Located in Melbourne’s Kensington, Rumble Coffee Roasters has recently entered the retail realm with an espresso bar on the premises, allowing the public direct access to freshly roasted beans as well as a range of coffee drinks. Rumble was established in 2014 by long-time friends and business partners Joe Molloy and Matt Hampton – both ex-pat Kiwis and both committed to the sustainability and longevity of the specialty coffee industry. The first roaster in Australia to publish supply chain data for all its coffee products, Rumble continues to invite its customers to examine the costs of coffee production, and to join the company in making choices that minimise their environmental impact, including using recyclable and reusable packaging.
