LETTER OF THE MONTH
Well done Michael on your introduction to the August issue of MiNDFOOD, ‘Celebrate The Positive’. It is uplifting to read about enjoying the little things in life ... sunrises, sunsets, family gatherings. Too many people sit in the ‘complaint’ mode and don’t enjoy life at all; in fact, they don’t really live it. They work hard for material gain but miss out on the little things that count.
Life is a gift and should be lived as such. Each day is a new experience that will never be repeated, good or bad. Like they say, ‘You can’t have a rainbow without a little rain.’ It is the little things that count, in a marriage and in friendship.
It is easy to complain, but take the shutters off your eyes, look at the beautiful nature around us – birds, plants, flowers – and enjoy the moment. When you turn off the TV and focus on your surroundings, it is not such a bad life after all.
That is called a blessing. Marilyn
