PLAN YOUR OASIS

-

Bathrooms are one of the more complex and costly rooms to renovate in the home, so it pays to do all the planning, budget and sourcing upfront, including tiles, drains, toilet, vanity, power points, bath, tapware, grout, shower screen, lighting ... even where you want the toilet roll to go. Anna Dick of Anna Margaret Interiors says: “I love designing bathrooms, they’re the oasis of the home. The term ‘natural’ is very present in bathrooms at the moment; stone tiles (travertine, terrazzo, aggregate) with timber veneer vanities (oak, walnut, ply), brushed steel or aged brass tapware in all styles, accented with subtle patterned feature walls. For a luxury touch, I’m loving some deep vanity tops, with semi-recessed basins, and wall taps, and perhaps a cluster of small pendant lights.”
