Nico Oneto and Ashleigh Wilding are offering Kiwis a sweet taste of Argentina with their dulce de leche treats. Based in Whatawhata, the couple started their business Favorito three years ago after missing the traditional sweets from Nico’s home country of Argentina. “We started cooking it for ourselves, using a traditional Patagonian recipe, and the best New Zealand ingredients. When our friends, both Latinos and Kiwis, started asking for jars, we knew we were onto something,” says Wilding.
