IT’S A KEEPER

Drink, keep, re-use, repeat ... Hallertau Brewery in Auckland’s north-west has come up with a great idea to encourage anyone buying their NZ IPA in a ‘keeper’ bottle to reuse and continue to reuse once empty of beer. The bottle design has a crown seal to hold in the beer – which is delicious by the way – then the swing seal keeps any contents leak-proof. Once empty, the bottle can be used for any liquid you want – from more beer to shampoo, tomato sauce to homemade cocktail mixes. Hallertau also lists on its website other locations and other beer producers that offer a refill service. Hat tip to the team at Hallertau. RRP $17.95.
