VINTAGE BEOGRAM UPGRADE CUTS E-WASTE

-

Launched in the 1970s, Bang & Olufsen’s Beogram 4000 series turntables have become classics. As part of Bang & Olufsen’s Recreated Classics initiative, which strives to reduce e-waste, it is now offering upgrade kits that allow everyone who owns a vintage Beogram turntable to restore and refurbish the product, as well as connect it to any of the brand’s home speakers. At Milan Design Week 2021, Mads Kogsgaard Hansen (pictured) showcased how the Beogram 4002 from 1975 can wirelessly connect to the stylish set of powerful Beolab 28 speakers from 2021. “We are proud of how far we have come in fighting technology obsolescence, but we are only at the beginning of the journey,” says Kogsgaard Hansen.
