TRULY A-PEELING

-

A Japanese company has figured out a way to derive cannabidiol (CBD) from orange peels. The researchers from Hiro International discovered orange peels contained CBD that was structurally identical to the ingredient most often found in hemp. The orange-derived CBD is free from tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the psychoactive compound in cannabis. CBD is already used around the world as a remedy for pain, anxiety and depression, but cannabis-derived CBD is still illegal in many countries, including Japan.
