BEAUTY ‘SNACKING’

According to trend forecaster WGSM, a new beauty trend emerged during lockdown: the beauty snack. Yet it has nothing to do with eating. Instead, it relates to the uptake of micro beauty moments, like the use of face mists, lip scrubs and depuffing face rollers incorporat­ed into consumers’ lives during the pandemic to break up the working from home lifestyle or to create little moments of pleasure. The forecaster describes beauty snacking as “quick flash treatments and easy, no-mess formulas you can do at your desk”, and predicts this approach will grow in 2022.
