COVERING ALL BASES
EASY: Long before the most recent boom in skincare-infused makeup, Garnier’s BB cream was delivering a multitude of benefits beyond simple colour. Now the iconic face makeup has had a revamp, its lightweight and blendable formula now enriched with hyaluronic acid, aloe vera and ultra-fine mineral pigments, resulting in naturallooking coverage with a radiant finish. It comes in four options for different requirements – Classic, Oil Free, Anti-Age and Even Tone SPF50 – and the clever paper integrated cardboard tube is made with 49% less plastic. LONG-WEAR: Revlon knows long-wear makeup that endures the day’s challenges; its ColorStay collection has been a regular in our routines since the ’90s. Now the famous ColorStay foundation has been updated and divided into two new medium to full coverage formulas for different skin types. The Normal/Dry version is formulated with hyaluronic acid for lasting hydration, while the Combination/ Oily version protects and nourishes with Vitamin E and controls oil all day thanks to mineral powders.
LUXURY: Sisley’s new Phyto-Blanc Le Cushion compact combines the French skincare brand’s Phyto-Blanc brightening complex that tackles pigmentation and dark spots with a glowing, medium coverage base that is easily built up with the included sponge. The hydrating formula protects against the effects of pollution and UV damage.
ENJOY THE SPOTLIGHT
Elizabeth Arden’s biodegradable, pre-measured serum capsules have always made knowing how much to apply easy. There are now a number of options targeting different skin requirements, the most famous containing moisture-boosting ceramides – but the newest arrival has an advanced formula specifically set on brightening skin and erasing dark patches and post-acne marks. Visible Brightening Spot Correcting Night Capsules with Advanced MIx Concentrate II is packed with Vitamin C and other key plant extracts like ginger root to support skin’s radiance and resilience.
HUE’S LOOKING GOOD
First created with its playful ‘upside down’ packaging almost 20 years ago, the popular hydrating sheen of Dior Addict has been renovated for 2022. Creative and image director for Dior Makeup Peter Philips has brought his cosmetic nous to design 35 new hues, overseeing a reformulation that now contains 90 per cent natural-origin ingredients including jasmine wax and plum oil to provide nourishing comfort, skin-caring omegas and brilliant shine. With refills and cases sold separately, why not switch up the look with one of four dress-up collectable cases.
LOVE THE LASHES
If you love a natural lash look but wish yours were more substantial, try Clinique’s new High Impact Lash Amplifying Serum. Applied along the lash line at night, you’re said to see longer, thicker, darker-looking bare lashes in 12 weeks, with the first signs of improvement visible in four.
