ORGANIC, VEGAN SKINCARE
French skin and spa brand Sothys has just revealed an appealing update for lovers of botanically led skincare products. The Sothys Organics collection offers organic and vegan formulas certified via Ecocert standards, with beautiful textures and efficient results, as well as advanced, natural, active ingredients.
Taking inspiration from the natural environment near Sothys’ research lab and gardens in the Corrèze region of France, the collection calls on key organic active ingredients including honeysuckle, alfalfa and hawthorn, each offering unique skin-improving properties. A cleansing oil, gentle exfoliant, radiance mask and lightweight moisturiser complete the home care, while a new 30-minute professional treatment refreshes and boosts skin’s natural glow.
Every element has been considered with packaging aiming to eliminate waste. The outer packaging has eliminated cellophane, with boxes using cardboard from sustainably managed forests. Bottles and tubes are made with recycled and recyclable packaging and a partnership with Plastic Bank sees every kilo of plastic used to produce packaging is offset by collecting the equivalent weight in used plastic.
We asked Sothys’ National Technical Trainer, Vanessa Feehan-Meldrum for her collection highlights.
What are your favourite products of the new line?
The Cleansing Oil for Face & Eyes. A lot of people’s skin needs more care due to the lack of good lipid support. By using a cleansing oil we are able to effectively cleanse the skin and remove impurities but still support the skin’s protective layers. It can be used all over the face including the eye area. It leaves beautiful, fresh skin.
I also love the Radiance Mask. It can be used as a traditional mask left on the skin for 10 minutes before rinsing to remove, or you can leave it on for 10 minutes, massage in any excess and leave on overnight. Skin gains beautiful radiance and a boost of hydration.
What’s special about the new Organics facial?
It’s designed as an express treatment of 30 minutes and is a five-phase procedure that meets the requirements of all skin types, even sensitive, men’s and younger skin. We’ve seen a need for this type of treatment as clients are time poor but still want something efficient that boost their skin. It’s also popular with younger clients who want to invest in their skin health as well as those on a budget. The Organic Radiance treatment offers improvement to skin smoothness, suppleness and radiance as well as deep relaxation with Sothys’ specific cocooning face and scalp massage. It opens up an option for those looking for a professional organic, vegan skin treatment.
