WAVE A WAND

-

New mascara formulas are more likely to combine length, volume and curl, and avoid dryness or flaking than ever before. Even waterproof options are more suitable for everyday wear, rather than holding onto them for occasions like the beach or when tears are likely to be triggered. We still think it’s worth having a couple on the go depending on how you want your lashes to look and what’s on your agenda – but if you’re one of those people who likes to simply have one tried-and-true, go-to mascara at hand, you’re likely to find at least one you love in the new crop of wands just landed.

Clinique High Impact Zero Gravity Mascara

Clinique has done a curling and lifting mascara with a tubing formula that resists rain, sweat and tears. Tubing formulas use a gel polymer formula to ‘wrap’ around each lash. To remove, you wet your lashes and use your fingers to gently slide the ‘tubes’ off.

Lancôme Lash Idôle Waterproof Mascara

A quite wet, gel formula that coats each and every lash with a wand that has bristles of different sizes. Once set, it is reliably waterproof and stays in place all day – up to 24 hours according to the brand. It’s also safe for sensitive eyes or contact lens wearers.

Maybelline Colossal Curl Bounce Mascara

Maybelline makes exceptional mascaras. The newest also focuses on that elusive, uplifted curl. It combines the effects of both a mascara and an eyelash curler and hold the results in place all day ... and also has decently black, volumising pigment.
