RAISE A TOASTIE

Toasted sandwich enthusiasts are hitting the grills for the 5th annual Great New Zealand Toastie Takeover. The foodie contest sees chefs from around the country competing for the title of NZ’s top toastie. This year’s competition sees an eclectic range of entrants, including iconic restaurants, craft beer breweries, food trucks and even a bowling alley. Apart from the requirement of having cheese and McClure’s Pickles, the toastie makers have full rein to get creative with their ingredients. Finalists will be announced on 22 June and the supreme winner revealed on 27 July.
